Evening full of bitterness in the Staple Center which hosts the games of the Lakers player who passed away a few hours before the award ceremony

The death of Kobe Bryant has pervaded the great night of music, the Grammy Award ceremony held at the Staples Center, where basketball legend played for 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers. “As many of you know, we lost Kobe Bryant in a tragic helicopter crash. Since this is his home, I ask you to join me in a minute’s silence,” said Grammy interim Ceo Harvey Mason. Alicia Keys and Boyz II Men sang an a cappella version of “It is so hard to say goodbye to yesterday” for Bryant.

“Here we are on the most important night of music to celebrate the artists who have given the best, but to be honest we are all feeling a great bitterness,” said the godmother of the evening Alicia Keys, pointing out how America and the whole world have lost “a hero. “Tonight is for Kobe,” said singer Lizzo, one of the Grammy winners, dedicating “Truth hurts” and “Cuz I love you” to him.

Among the winners of the 62nd edition of the music awards also Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper for “A star is Born” in the category “Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media”. In the category “Best Song Written for Visual Media”, another award went to Lady Gaga for “I’ll never love you again”.

Beyonce won in the “Best Music Film” category for “Homecoming”. The award for “Best Rap Performance” was given posthumously to Nipsey Hussle for “Rocks in the Middle”. Also awarded was former first lady Michelle Obama for her audiobook autobiography “Becoming”.

Although in a melancholic atmosphere, the strapless, glittering, sexy, strapless outfits shone. White was the most popular color with the stars. In white Versace the 31 year old Lizzo who has won three Grammys so far. White outfit also for Gwen Stefani signed by Dolce and Gabbana.
