Like starting up, finding a mantra is something we all strive towards but seldom achieve. If one is not quite balanced, then at least keep tilting and adjusting and getting your footing.
Life is unpredictable and every day isn’t a blissful mix of breakfast in bed, productive inspiration, and candlelit romance. You gotta think a little long-term, and try to cultivate balance on the order of weeks or months.
While it is the era where we are enjoying the highest technological sophistication, the time has come to think of rebuilding ourselves.
Iman Taheri sees the answer to this conundrum as striking a balance between consistency, and knowledge.
Dr. Iman, who graduated from medical school as the youngest general surgeon in 2014 has been practicing medicine worldwide with priority on the challenged regions, volunteering in war-torn and poverty-stricken areas without readily available access to modern medicine and sophisticated medical technology in Trauma Surgery.
After his general surgery residency, Dr. Taheri volunteered in a drug war zone in one of the most unfortunate areas in Southern Iran. After two years of practice, mostly in trauma surgery, Dr. Iman certified in Dubai for cosmetic surgery.
When the ongoing pandemic was announced right before he started his independent practice in Dubai, he was in Canada visiting his family. Pandemic, like it was for everyone, was a shock for Dr. Iman as well.
But instead of giving in, Dr. Iman embraced the change that the pandemic brought in his life. He started to share his poetry and supportive short-form videos on social media. And even though he was not fluent in English and was completely a stranger to western culture, he was able to create a community of like-minded people around his content! All due to his consistency and authenticity.
Consistency, Dr. Iman believes, is the reason for his success. Not only has he been posting his content every day almost at the same time for the last 10 months, but he has also combined his knowledge of supportive psychotherapy and his passion for poetry, acting, music, and sign language to support his audience in all aspects of health.
He also has short, medium, and long-term plans. Not only does he aim to connect western medicine with ancient wisdom to find the answer to being and living life to the fullest extent, one of his main goals is to create a community outside of any social media platform. He’s been working on his website and mobile app, which will allow him to connect with his audience in the most direct way possible. A plausible thought we must say!
Dr. Iman hopes to make a change and be an inspiration with not just his words but with his actions too. And seeing his perseverance and determination we are sure he soon will!
