Investment is one of the important steps towards achieving financial freedom. As it not only enables financial security through an additional income but also generates growth in it. Thus, whether one is 18 or 80, it is necessary to be financially educated.
But unfortunately, according to Brandon Beavis, there has always been a lack of financial literacy, especially amongst millennials in Canada, because most schools shy away from this topic. Since he too was in this state a few years ago, Brandon truly understood how it feels like to have a severe lack of financial education. Therefore, he not only decided to educate himself, but also intended to show the country the importance of investing.
After studying the investment industry, Brandon was able to pass all of his exams including, CSC, CPH, WME, and a 90-Day Investment Advisor Training. Thus, he was ready to apply his knowledge to practical work since he was now a fully licensed investment advisor. To begin with, Brandon started working at his father’s investment firm where he spent 4 years and helped manage multi-million dollar client portfolios. However, as he always wanted to educate others, he decided to take his knowledge and experience to YouTube where he built his own channel known as, Brandon Beavis Investing. He used this platform to teach Canadians about how to properly invest in the stock market for the long term by focusing on dividends, passive income, and proper portfolio management techniques. As his aim was to set his viewers up for long term success, his work did not include risky topics such day trading, cryptocurrency, or forex. Thus, Brandon started to build his strong following by posting one video a week, and with time he branched off into other areas such as podcasts. Soon his brand started picking up steam as he had the unique ability to break down complex topics into easy to understand videos along with time-tested information from his father’s 25+ years of experience. Meanwhile, Brandon also enhanced his knowledge of online business and launched his Investing Academy Training Course that would provide a complete step by step guide for beginners to invest.
As a result, Brandon now has over 1000+ Investing Academy students and he recently passed over 150,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel. While his progress was slow and steady, he was able to succeed in his mission through his high commitment and motivation level. Therefore, Brandon learned and achieved a lot by being humble and constantly pursuing more knowledge.
