Successful careers don’t necessarily require a college education. Every person carves their own path to success which can either be through education, acquiring skills, or experience. In Nathan Sharma’s case, it was his ambition that cemented his success in the business world.
Soon after dropping out of college, Nathan tried his luck in the hospitality industry. Although he excelled at his job, he knew he wanted to help his parents turn NIWE Academy into a multimillion-dollar business. Thus, in 2017, he joined the academy as the helping hand to mop the floors and move furniture and rose to the position of Chief Operating Officer by September 2021.
Nathan proved to be an unparalleled asset to the company. After seeking guidance from his mentors, he worked towards improving the efficiency of each department. “I knew I could not turn this academy into a corporation alone. I had to seek help, not from advisors but mentors,” he stated.
Be it accounting, supply chain management, marketing and sales, or customer review management, Nathan left no stone unturned in his effort to help turn NIWE into a peerless cosmetology college. The employee number rose from 4 to 30. The company hired a massage therapy mentor, hair mentor, advanced nails and esthetics mentor, along with an admissions advisor. Furthermore, a board of directors was established that monitored the company’s progress. Soon, NIWE Academy had a multimillion-dollar yearly revenue.
Since his success with NIWE, Nathan has been coaching young entrepreneurs and continues to guide them on how to build profitable businesses. He has been motivating individuals to foster a growth mindset that would allow them to overcome any doubt or hurdle they may experience as an entrepreneur. Nathan believes that in order for a business owner to succeed, one must be willing to challenge their assumptions, aspirations, and willingness to learn.
Being an entrepreneur requires you to work on your personal and professional growth, and Nathan has been teaching individuals to achieve exactly that. He, through his own personal coaching alongside NIWE Academy, aims to make a global impact on the education system. He wants to challenge the one-size-fits-all learning model and wishes to replace it with a differentiated learning approach.
