Pedro Bori is a Mexican writer who has published three books, two on fiction and one on effective parenting. He spent his life practically packed in two suitcases and two boxes, moving around fifteen cities and five countries. Moving from city to city allowed him to meet different people and exposed him to their issues. He realized that the world is full of pain and everyone has a story. Bori himself had his fair share in the struggles of life; therefore, he developed this dream of helping people through his work.
Watering his dream to become a writer since 2002, Bori tried to write various times but failed. He had to hear negative comments, faced discouragement, but this only grew his ambition stronger. Bori was facing depression, and he was already struggling through it when he wrote his first book in only two days. Finishing the book felt like achieving a milestone, and it gave Bori a new kind of motivation. He aimed to help people with effective parenting and wrote his second book. During his time as a principal at a foster care, he was well aware of the topic’s sensitivity.
Other than writing, Bori also works in game development. Unfortunately, his first game couldn’t manage to secure any funds in the Kickstarter campaign in Scotland. But life has only made Bori stronger, and his second game, a card game, is already in the process of development. Since he loves to help people, Bori works with an NGO to support the kids in recovering from the impact of violence in Mexico. With a degree in psychology, Bori has a deeper insight into people’s behaviors and perspectives. He has envisioned himself finding the solutions to people’s problems through his writing, inspiring them to improve their lives, and supporting them to find solace in his work.
He desired to publish 13 books, but the goal of his writing has never been becoming rich. He is happy because people can relate to his work, the characters, and they feel better after reading his books. Helping people has changed Bori’s life and turned him into a better person. He understands and empathizes with those suffering and wants to move to Africa someday to play his part in helping people there.
