Here’s How TEMPO Networks, Founded by Frederick A. Morton, Jr., Is Promoting Caribbean Culture Worldwide
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

ALL THINGS CARIBBEAN  – that’s what TEMPO Networks is all about. And when they say all things Caribbean, it means a complete representation of islanders’ attires, food, sports, dance – everything that is part and parcel of Caribbean culture and lifestyle. Even the logo of the company represents the ethos of the rich and colorful culture this region inherits.

Since its launch in 2007, TEMPO Networks has gone above and beyond to elevate the culture this part of the world is blessed with. It’s pretty awe-inspiring that despite being adjacent to American society, the Caribbean culture has remained immune to any foreign influence and exists just the way it existed centuries back. TEMPO, in this context, is no less than a revolution for a region that, despite sitting over cultural and natural treasure, has been subjected to sheer negation. The company not only promises to revitalize the cultural traditions but also to support and hoist local artists.

Just like you expect from any television network, TEMPO has curated a long list of programs that touches on multiple aspects of the Caribbean lifestyle. However, what makes it stand out among others is its ultimate objective which is to unify the Caribbean countries through media.

“We are completely unique in our field, focused solely on the Caribbean, its diaspora, and those forty million people who visit it annually,” says Frederick, founder of TEMPO Networks. “We do not stray from that focus. We are about finding the communalities that unite the Caribbean, despite its many languages and varied history,” he further added.

On De Stage is one such initiative. This tributary show focuses on the art of Caribbean performance and highlights the best live performances from top Caribbean legends, artists, and new and upcoming artists alike. Likewise, TEMPO has other numerous shows that bring audiences the stories of Caribbean music, never seen, never heard before.

What’s more, TEMPO has adequately accentuated Caribbean travel as well. With its shows like Show Yourself, it takes audiences on an exciting adventure in one of the most beautiful destinations in the Caribbean, Barbados. Viewers can sit on their sofas at home and still cherish the natural beauty, world-class cuisine, nightlife, and rich cultural heritage of Barbados.

Unlike other entertainment and lifestyle TV channels, TEMPO has formed some of the best kids’ educational programs. We’re sure you will love to check out their TEMPO Kids Show. The show takes a unique approach to teach children the importance of education in a fun and entertaining way. If you are tired of searching for something productive and entertaining simultaneously for kids, these Caribbean showrunners have got you covered.

In its journey of 17 years, TEMPO has offered a peerless service to promote the Caribbean lifestyle and culture. It has assisted in the rise of artists like Rihanna and continues to bring gems to the world from every nook and cranny of the region. There is, however, still a long way to go to achieve its ultimate objective. But with Frederick in the driving seat, rest assured, the sky is not the limit.
