Once again, Amazon came up with this incredible idea. Indeed, the e-commerce giant believes that payment is a real waste of time, both for customers and merchants. That’s why Jeff Bezos’ company is currently working on a technology that links the credit card to the palm of the hand…

A strategic innovation
Now you can do without your wallet when you go shopping. There are various options such as Apple Pay or Samsung Pay, which allow you to pay for your purchases with your smartphone. But Amazon wants to find another solution to increase user security. Indeed, the company is currently testing palmtop payment.

As its name suggests, it is a matter of paying with the palm of one’s hand. The company wants to develop a system that allows customers to pay with the palm of their hand. And it seems that the project is already well advanced since several financial institutions such as Mastercard or JPMorgan would already be interested in this innovation.

A revolution in the payment system
Amazon has been working to simplify payment systems for several years now. However, it seems that palm technology is already well advanced and has already proven its effectiveness. An Amazon spokesperson explained: “Images are retrieved using light of a first polarization that shows features on the surface of the palm of the hand, such as wrinkles, while images obtained using the light of a second polarization reveal deeper features such as veins. »

It must be said that the concept is innovative, but also highly strategic, notably by Amazon. Indeed, the terminals could store data such as purchase frequencies and thus allow the company to better understand the consumption behavior of customers. Yes, nothing is done randomly…
