Dr. Parham Yashir is an Iranian-American first-generation neurologist who moved to Los Angeles with his family when I was one year old. His areas of expertise include minimally invasive cervical and lumbar spine surgery, artificial disc replacement surgery, endovascular neurosurgery techniques, and intracranial aneurysm treatment.
Throughout his upbringing, his parents emphasized the significance of education, believing that education is something that no one can ever take away from you. Dr. Yashir prioritized hard effort, tenacity, and devotion in order to achieve whatever objective he set for himself.
As a high school student, he was lucky to learn more about the medical sector when he began schooling at Van Nuys High School, a medical magnet program. Dr. Yashir then went to UCLA, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Cybernetics with a minor in Education studies. Later on, he completed his medical school education at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, where he conducted independent research on gene therapy for a year under the supervision of Dr. J. Larry Jameson.
Dr. Yashir began his neurosurgical residency at Keck School of Medicine/LA County + USC Medical Center after finishing his internship in surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and completed his fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery at the University of Buffalo. Since completing his residency and fellowship training, he received his double-board certification by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in Neurological Surgery and CNS Endovascular Surgery.
Dr. Yashar’s experience and skills span a wide range of neurosurgical procedures, including spinal conditions (degenerative disc disease, neck and back pain, discriminations, spinal stenosis, pinched nerves), cerebral vascular conditions (brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, acute stroke therapy), general cranial neurosurgical conditions, and neurosurgical trauma.
To meet his ambitions and goals to become a prominent neurosurgeon for patients throughout the world and to provide neurosurgical care to anyone who seeks his medical expertise, Dr. Yashar left his neurosurgery practice and dedicated his skills to his office ‘Yashar Neurosurgery.’ He believes that everyone deserves a life that is healthy and pain-free. In order to make sure his patients live a healthy life, Dr. Yashir provides contemporary and state-of-the-art procedures that are minimally invasive.
Dr. Yashar is known for his care and genuine concern for his patients. He is constantly learning from all of his good and bad experiences and studying more about his area of expertise regularly to ensure effective neurological services and procedures. He prefers to stay updated on the latest techniques, technologies, and treatments. In previous years, he has been listed as an emerging star and named in the list of Super Doctors for several years.
