Spanning her work in multiple areas, Katie Godfrey is an inspirational woman who had advanced her career at a young age. Over the past few years, she has built strong standing teams and provided quality services and products that people love. Thus, a business that started as a small salon, is today a known luxury brand in the beauty and hair industry. And even though life put her through a lot of hardship, Katie stood firm and knocked them all down one by one.
As a child, Katie was bullied during her school years which is why she left school at the early age of 13 with no qualifications. However, she started modeling at that same age which eventually helped her gain confidence and exposure in the beauty industry. As a result, before she even knew it, she was working on opening her first business, a model agency. And within a year, she also launched her main business, KG Salon.
While Katie started her salon out of nothing, her passion and efforts slowly started attracting people around her. They eventually started seeing her as an inspirational icon who specialized in the beauty and hair industry. As a result, her followers strived to learn from her which is why she went on to introduce another brand, KG Professional, where she trained people to work with eyelashes. Eventually, Katie became one of the first trainers in the UK to teach Russian Volume Lashes and launched her own eyelash product range. And within the first 6 months of launch, her eyelash range was selling in 500 salons.
Since Katie believes in providing 100% authentic products and quality services, she has won up to 15 awards for her notable work, including the award of “Eyelash Technician of the Year” in 2014 and the “Client Experience Award” for three consecutive years. Her journey becomes even more empowering considering that she worked to grow her business while being a single mom with zero childcare to help. Thus, today, Katie is a well known trainer in the beauty industry and her eyelash range is now sold worldwide.
